Scott, fishing in Leland seems to be on par as usuall for this time of year. Just curious as to what your slot limits on trout are this year and why your throwing so many back? Luckily we don't have to mess with that on our side of the state. Total fish count was up to 294 mostly consisting of lakers and pink salmon. The pinks are almost more of a nuisence. We've caught few kings, but it's still way below average. We won the salmon stakes back in mid april fishing the Canadian shore a.ka. kettle point, with 4 coho and 4 kings, total weight of 43lbs, winning by 7lbs. Looking to get up their sometime in August when it really gets hott. Sounds like they have been catching large kings this spring so maybe will be last years 24lb.
