Well, here we are half way through the season and we are still not getting salmon. The good thing is that we are catching a lot of lake trout.

We have finally seen a thermocline develop in our near shore waters which should help to congregate some salmon in our area. We are finding 55 degree water about 60 feet down.

There have been some salmon caught near South Manitou about twenty miles from Leland. We are hoping those fish will migrate into our waters soon
